This is when we help you decide which, if any, certification program is right for your vineyard. With so many programs available, we will take a comprehensive look at your operation, as well as your long term goals, and find a program that will fit just right.
Consultant will meet owner or manager on location (following all safety COVID guidelines) and assess the alterations necessary to meet with minimum requirements, and gather information regarding fertilization, pesticide use reporting, vineyard floor management, personnel, farm equipment, etc.
We will go through each of the items, rating your vineyard as it is currently managed, and noting any of the mandatory standards which may need adjustment to qualify for certification.
We provide step-by-step guidance in putting your practices into a written, program-approved format. Each management plan is unique to the vineyard its written about, and is added to and improved upon as each year passes. Examples available for viewing during initial appointment.
We provide assistance in requesting and assembling each of the reports and tests required to remain in program compliance, as well as integrating the results into their respective management plans., then compiling all of the data using either digital files, hard-copies, or both, depending on grower's preference.
Consultant will personally attend the on-site audit, which is mandatory for every first-time applicant during their first certification year, and every third year following.
On-going assistance with Pesticide Use Reports, if desired, as well as the computation and submission of the PEAS at the end of every spray season.
Ongoing assistance available for the entire recertification process. Every year we will help you create and achieve goals, bringing your vineyard to an even higher level of sustainability!
